Student’s Grievance Redressal
Students’ Grievance Redressal Committee (SGRC) constituted vide Office Order R/339/26/2555 dated Feb 27, 2026
The
committee intends to address the grievances of all postdoctoral
scholars, research scholars, project associates, project assistants,
M.Sc. students, interns, and other ad hoc researchers at Bose Institute
in a systematic manner. For ease of understanding, all these
complainants are referred to henceforth as students.
Grievance submission:
1. The committee will only accept written complaints from a student or students, submitted as a hard copy or via email to student-grievance@jcbose.ac.in
2. The complaint letter must include the complainant's name and contact information.
3. The hard copy of the complaints will be received by the office of the Dean, Academic Affairs.

The complainant’s email must originate from a Bose Institute-issued
email ID or any personal email registered at Bose Institute.
5. Any anonymous email from anonymous accounts shall not be entertained.
6. A complaint should generally be filed within two months of the last incident.
7. Any type of complaints can be received and discussed. However, any matter within the purview of the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) will be forwarded to the ICC.
Grievance redressal:
1. The committee will meet to discuss a grievance complaint that has been received and needs deliberation.
2. At least two meetings of this committee may be held per year.
3. Members may be co-opted by this committee, if needed.

The committee will deliberate on a grievance complaint, discuss issues
with all parties, including supervisors, and try to resolve the matter
within six months of the receipt of a complaint. The committee can also
refer a matter to the Director if it is unable to resolve it within the
stipulated time frame.
5. For further escalation, a student can write to the Director, Bose Institute, through this committee.
