Professor, Biological Sciences
PhD: Uppsala University, Department of Organic and Biochemistry, Uppsala, Sweden, 2008-January
Previous appointments:
Postdoctoral Fellow, Department of Biochemistry, University of Alberta, Alberta, Canada (2008-2011)
Ramanujan Fellow (DST, Govt of India), Department of Biophysics, Bose Institute, Kolkata (2011-2016)
Associate Professor, Department of Biophysics, Bose Institute, Kolkata (2016-till date)
Research interests:
The main
objective of our research is to understand the supercoiling of DNA structure in
the chromosome and try to cultivate the importance of nucleic acid structural
dynamics and breathing in a conformational hyperspace which can augment or deplete
tumorigenesis.
